Will Van Nen - JENNA AND ADAM

Originally planned for July 4th , 2020, I first met Jenna and Adam way back in normal happy 2019 and had the pleasure of doing their engagement photos under the backdrop of our beautiful Vancouver Fall days.

I knew that they were going to be game for anything and they were patient enough with me to allow me to do my thing. Love it when couples allow me to do my thing and work with me through the creative process.

Jenna's family and my family have had many years of acquaintance. Primarily, as my wife, was Jenna's sister; Alyssa's primary nurse for many years, before she passed away at Canuck Place Children's Hospice. Jenna honoured her sister with little subtle reminders.

All these years later, Jenna and Adam asked me to photograph their special day. Originally planned before Covid, and after several reschedules over the years, they finally were able to celebrate their special day; July 2, 2022.

First and foremost, I would like to acknowledge that Jenna and Adam's wedding took place on the unceded and unsurrendered land of the Halkomelem speaking peoples.

Once again joined by my talented partner; Alex Townsend photography, we came together at the classic Victorian Met hotel in downtown New Westminster to capture the pre-ceremonial images before moving to the picturesque Rose Garden at Queen's park for the ceremony.

Love the personal touches this couple had with their venues and decor and the attention to having fun and highlighting their loving families and their ever so close friends.
