I had the pleasure of meeting Katherine and Eduardo through a referral from a wonderful mutual friend back in good ole pre-pandemic 2019. After our engagement shoot with them and Queso their loveable Frenchie, they felt comfortable to book me for their 2020 large family and friend's wedding celebration.
Alas, 2020 came and gone and rescheduling and ever changing pandemic parameters meant for a postponement, fewer numbers, vaccines, and a new date in 2021. This couple, ever positive with the fluid changes, had a new date:
August 14, 2021

AUGUST 14, 2021
First and foremost, I would like to acknowledge that Katherine and Eduardo's wedding took place on the traditional and unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan people.
Joined by my wedding partner Alex Townsend, we arrived the night before to meet up with Katherine and Eduardo at their rehearsal and also to do some pre-scouting. Katherine and Eduardo have had a lot of obstacles to overcome in preparing for their day. Outside of the continuing restrictions placed upon weddings, they also had to contend with wildfires that were threatening evacuations of the local area.
Under the veil of smoke that blanketed the seemingly picturesque backdrop of Okanagan lake, we met Katherine and Eduardo Friday afternoon at Red Rooster Winery for their rehearsal and we knew right off after meeting up with them, that NOTHING was going to damper their positivity, their excitement and their forever day.
I'd like to thank Katherine and Eduardo for persevering, for always communicating with me and for welcoming Alex and me to their day. Their close family and friends welcomed us, were patient with us and adopted us into their circle, allowing us to be free and creative in capturing forever frames of their day.
Much love to you both and an honour to have been part of your day.
Enjoy the Frames!!
